Description: Report sent by Sgt Warder Chappin to Tate Director John Rothenstein concerning the behaviour of Tate warding staff assigned to mind works of art stored at 'Hellens' in Much Marcle during World War II. At the outbreak of war, much of the Tate's collection was evacuated to country house locations for safe-keeping.
